$600 match for the Camden Scott Meyer Pediatric Fund
The Meyer Family will match donations made to the Camden Scott Meyer Pediatric Fund on MUSC Day, up to $600!
Cami Meyer, a longtime employee of the MUSC College of Health Professions, established the fund in memory of her son, Camden, who only lived three days. Since 2002, the fund has provided training to more than 1,000 speech language pathology and physical and occupational therapy students in the Camden Scott Meyer Lab at the college. Those students have gone on to provide outreach to more than 2,000 children with special needs.
Thank you, Cami and family!
The Ball family has a proud legacy of medical education and practice in South Carolina, spanning eight generations of MUSC College of Medicine graduates. This tradition began with James Moultrie Jr., M.D., (1793–1869), a founding member of both the Medical College of South Carolina in 1824 and the American Medical Association, as well as the South Carolina Medical Association.
In honor of Moultrie and MUSC’s Bicentennial, the Ball family is challenging donors to give to the College of Medicine. They’ll give the college $5,000 if just 10 people make a gift of any size to the college on MUSC Day. If 20 people donate to the college, the Ball family will double their gift to $10,000!
