Dr. Gretchen Seif, a professor in the College of Health Professions, will match donations to the CARES Therapy Clinic, up to a total of $600. Physical and occupational therapy students volunteer their time each week care for uninsured and underinsured patients through the nonprofit CARES Therapy Clinic. Their service comes after a full day of school and often extends until 10 p.m. by the time they finish paperwork. But it spares some patients from a life of chronic pain or disability, and it saves the community about $120,000 per year in avoided emergency room visits.
