MUSC Day 2023

Mrs. Barbara Harter Rippy ends most conversations by saying she loves you to the moon and back. And MUSC pharmacy students certainly reciprocate! Grateful for the MUSC College of Pharmacy’s role in the success she and late husband Bobby Gene Rippy ’63 enjoyed as owners of Smith’s Drug Store in Union, South Carolina, Mrs. Rippy has made possible the Bobby Gene ’63 and Barbara Harter Rippy Lecture Hall and established a first-of-its-kind endowed scholarship. Her support of MUSC pharmacy students continues on Giving Tuesday with a special challenge. The moon is around 240,000 miles from Earth.
